Eric Daniel Metzgar is an Emmy Award winning documentary filmmaker.
He directs and edits films about all manner of subjects, from journalism to policing to the Middle East to endangered species to restorative justice. His work aims to counter cynicism and galvanize action by focusing on the beauty, resilience and humanity within the myriad struggles to heal our planet and ourselves.
He lives and works in Pacifica, California, with his wife and two children. Aside from family and films, he can be found rock climbing, camping, teaching meditation in prison, harvesting mussels from the sea, and watching Formula 1 races.
